Maison Esmeralda, Chambres D'Hôte et Gîte, Biert, Ariège

Situated at 600m altitude in the traditional mountain village of Biert, 5 minutes from Massat, and just 30 minutes from both St Girons and the beautiful historic town of Foix, Maison Esmeralda offers spacious rooms with beautiful views of the Massat valley. Standing on the bank of the river Arac, Esmeralda is an ideal location from which to explore the many activities and sights popular in the region.

We are open all year round and offer a great breakfast and home cooked meals in the evenings. Our menu is influenced from across the world; from Indian cuisine such as Onion Bhaji and Prawn Bhuna, to Thai chicken red curry with Sweet corn fritters and sweet chili sauce starter, or Italian: Spaghetti, linguine or risotto. We strive to use local and seasonal produce and offer our own home-made muesli for breakfast. - Sample menus available on tariff page.

Our Gite can accommodate up to six people and we have a large garage, beautiful gardens with a child-safe swimming pool and playground, all of which you are welcome to use. Cyclists and Motorcycle riders will find us particularly accommodating with inside, secure cycle storage and clothes washing facilities.
